But it’s easy to forget that people who work in health care are also members of the public and will, inevitably, be patients one day. TAKECHARGE CAMPAIGN FOCUSES SECOND MONTH OF ACTION ON KEEPING PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORDS

The TakeCHARGE Campaign (5 Steps to Safer Health Care) has laid out five steps individuals can and should take towards safer health care. The campaign aims to teach and motivate the whole community to do one of these steps each month between April and August 2020. April’s task was to “Understand and Complete Your Advance Directives”.  Read more here


​PREPARING TO BECOME A PATIENT

In July 2020 the Pulse Center for Patient Safety Education and Advocacy hosted two sessions about the TakeCHARGE Campaign for Teens: Preparing to Become a Patient. Participants were girls aged 13 to 18 years old from eight states and Canada representing Curvy Girls, a support group for young women with scoliosis. Read more here
